She pursued her postgraduate degree
(PG) in October 2004 from Govt. Medical College, Kozhikode, under Calicut University, and
earned her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology (DGO) in 1996 from Kasturba Medical
College, Mangalore, affiliated with Manipal University.

Dr. Chandramathy joined KMCT Medical College Hospital on July 3, 2023. Her medical
registration is with the Travancore Cochin Medical Council under Registration Number
16032.
She has contributed to several publications, such as: 
1. Changing trends in epidemiology and outcome in eripartumhysterectomy over a period of
ten years in a tertiary care teaching institution 
2. Psychological effects of isolation on antenatal women during covid-19 pandemic 
3. Clinical presentation and outcome of ectopic pregnancy 
4. Prevalence of bacterial vaginosis in cases of preterm labour and its effects on obstetric
outcome 
5. Emergency peripartum hysterectomy- still a life-saving tool in modern day obstetrics- a 3-
year study
6. Spot urinary protein creatinine ratio with 24 hour urine protein in hypertensive disorders of
pregnancy- a comparative study
Her active memberships include in Indian Medical Association (IMA), Federation of
Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI), and in the Indian Menopause
Society (IMS). She has attended 15 national and one international conference, keeping herself
updated in her field.
Dr. Chandramathy’s career includes her residency at Govt. Medical College, Kozhikode,
followed by roles as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor at the same
institution. She now serves as a professor at KMCT Medical College Hospital, continuing her
expertise in education, clinical practice, and research.
