2015. He earned his MBBS from Government Medical College,
Thiruvananthapuram in July 1980, followed by an MS in September 1986. He holds
additional qualifications, including a DNB from the National Board and an FRCS from the
Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin.
He has contributed to several research publications, including:

2. A Retrospective Cohort Study of Diabetic Foot Disease During the COVID Pandemic in
Kerala (2021)

His achievements include serving as Casualty Superintendent (1997–2000) and
Superintendent at Calicut Medical College, Secretary of ASI Kerala Chapter (2008–2010),
and Chairman of ASI Kerala Chapter (2010–2011). He also received the prestigious
Ragavacharya Oration (2010–2011).
He holds membership in professional organizations such as ASI, IMA, and the Indian
Association of Endocrine Surgeons. He has attended several national conferences, gaining
deeper insights and fostering collaboration in the field of surgery.
With over 38 years of experience, Dr. Mohandas has held positions of Assistant Professor,
Associate Professor, and Professor at Government Medical College, Calicut, before joining
KMCT Medical College Hospital.
