She earned her DGO from
Government Medical College, Kozhikode, in May 2013 and later pursued her DNB in
Obstetrics and Gynaecology from KMCT Medical College, Kozhikode, in December 2020.
Dr. Sudhya joined KMCT Medical College Hospital on January 19, 2023. She is registered
with the Travancore Cochin Medical Council under Registration Number 37340.
Her research contributions include published works as follows:
1. Management of asymptomatic bacteriuria in pregnancy.
2. Screening of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and gestational glucose intolerance
(GGI) in pregnant women from rural populations.
3. Sonological estimation of gestational age by measuring the length of fetal kidneys
after 20 weeks of pregnancy in healthy women with uncomplicated pregnancy.
4. Awareness about cervical cancer risk factors and its prevention among female
healthcare professionals.
5. Prevalence and clinical burden of gestational diabetes mellitus at a tertiary care centre
in Kozhikode, Kerala, India.

6. Analysis of labor using the modified WHO partograph in primigravida in a tertiary
care centre of North Kerala.
Dr. Sudhya is an active member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the College of
Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (COGS). She completed her medical residency at
Government Medical College, Calicut, and KMCT Medical College Hospital, where she now
serves as Assistant Professor.
