KSRTC Bus Service Flagged off to Assist Patients Approach KMCT Hospitals

The new bus service started by KMCT Group in association with KSRTC completed its first journey from KSRTC bus station to KMCT Medical college hospital successfully.

The novel bus service is being introduced to help the patients from across district arriving at KMCT hospitals [KMCT Medical College Hospital, KMCT Dental Hospital, KMCT Ayurveda Hospital, and KMCT Woman and Child Hospital] to avail treatments.

By flagging off the bus, Honourable minister of Transport- AK Saseendran inaugurated the first journey of the bus service at KSRTC Bus station, Kozhikode. “I am congratulating KMCT Group for joining hands with KSRTC for starting the bus service. The new bus will lend a hand to thousands patients come up to KMCT hospitals, said Minister A.K. Saseendran”. A Padeep Kumar MLA presided over the function.

Mr Abdul Nassar [District Transport Officer] and Mr Joshi KSRTC Zonal Officer – Calicut] were present at the occasion. Veteran doctor and KMCT Group of institutions’ Chairman Dr K moidu and Dr Navas K.M. [CEO- KMCT Group institutions] were also present.

“Initially there will be only one bus service, as times progress and based on the requests of patients, the services will be increased”, said Dr K. Moidu. KMCT group staff and students were present at the flag off ceremony. Dr Navas KM proposed vote of thanks.

The bus services will be operated from KSRTC Bus station to KMCT Hospitals. There will be eight services in the initial stage. The bus which has completed its first service received a warm welcome at KMCT Medical college hospital premises. The reception was given under the leadership of Mr Ramees [Administrator – KMCT Medical hospital]. Sweets were distributed.
